
Onsite Workshop Facilities for Vessel Repairs, Maintenance, and Modifications
The Tulagi Shipyard slipway is currently undergoing works to upgrade its capacity to to 750 tonne with an additional cradle to enable slipping a more diverse range of vessels up to 40m in length. Whilst the slipway construction work is being undertaken, we continue to provide slipping services to 1000 tonne vessels using our inflatable roller facility.
Our five onsite workshop facilities offer an extensive array of specialised plant and machinery capable of addressing virtually any vessel repairs, maintenance and vessel modification requirements.
Engineering and Machining
Tulagi Shipyard prides itself on providing a complete machine shop with available lathes, milling machine and radial drill to meet the demands of the marine industry machining requirements.
Our highly experienced team of marine fitters and machinists provide the capacity for propeller shaft machining, straightening, keyway cutting, and marine bearing machining.
Our engineering team have the capacity and experience - for all your marine engineering requirements as we retain all the required tools and engineering machinery within our facility without require external assistance.
Fabrication and Welding
Our experienced team of metal fabricators and welders, are available 24/7 to support any needs for steel repairs, pipework and general fabrication requirements.
Our fabrication shop comprises a 200-tonne hydraulic press and plate roller together with bevelling equipment together with a full range of welding equipment for manual arc, mig, and tig welding and brazing. Tulagi Shipyard has the capacity and experience for all your marine fabrication and welding requirements.
Ships Carpenters
Our carpenters are craftsman with many years of experience.
With a dedicated workshop with heavy duty rip saw and thicknesser and full complement of electric power tools and specialised timber hand tools, they can achieve the simplest door repairs to full interior strip out and refit.
Our shipwrights are also experienced with fibreglass repairs, window replacement and all ships husbandry requirements.
Blasting and Painting
Our experienced painting team will rejuvenate your vessel!
Equipped with a 30,000 psi ultra-high pressure water blaster and smaller 3,000psi water blaster, power sanders and airless spray-painting equipment means we will have your fouling removed, repainted and topsides shining again.
