In 2026, Tulagi Shipyard completed what is believed to be the first DNV five-yearly class survey and full repair programme ever carried out on a classed vessel entirely within the Solomon Islands. The job included structural steel renewal, weld repair, NDT and UTM hull inspection, and class-specification coating, all delivered under direct DNV surveyor oversight.
